Briefly in English

Horses First is a farrier and hoofcare company based in Finland. We work primarily in the Helsinki University and Hyvinkää Equine Hospitals, and visit some stables in the capital area.

Our aim is to prioritise the long-term health and performance of our equine customers through hoofcare based on modern research, biomechanics and anatomy.

Our customers include high level performance horses, horses with injuries and chronic conditions that require extra support (laminitis, hoof cracks, tendon and joint issues etc.) and equids for whom hoofcare solutions are limited by current tools and methods, such as draft horses, miniature horses, shetland ponies, donkies and mules.

We combine traditional farriery with academic research, physics and 3D-printing in order to provide the most comprehensive "toolbox" so that our equine customers receive the best possible care and support.
